I don't know why I have yet to tune into Dynasty. I can tell just from this small clip that they give you everything you need.

SAN FRANCISCO
A few weeks ago Jonathan and I got to experience the beauty of San Fran for the fist time. Thanks to our great friends the weekend trip was amazing! We didn't get to take many pictures but we did have a small impromptu photo shoot in a beautifully painted alley. Coincidentally there was a photographer there who was willing to snap photos of us in exchange for shots with her film camera as well. Hey, sometimes you're just at the right place at the right time.

Here we are with our new friend Regina and our good friend James.

NINA HAGEN
Nina Hagen is one of the most interesting people on the planet. I don't even know if she is from this planet. Watch this interview on David Letterman. There will be more Nina to come!

SOUL II SOUL
For some reason I can't seem to get Soul II Soul's "Keep On Movin'" out of my head. For the past three weeks I have found myself listening to the record at least once a day. Maybe it's the message I'm drawn to? "Keep on movin/ don't stop like the hands of time/ click clock, find your own way to stay/ the time will come one day."

It comes as no surprise that the music video is as equally amazing as the track. Caron Wheeler's (lead vocalist)shy smile is radiant and Jazzie B's (producer) energy never ceases. I really hope one day I can get my hands on a vintage Soul II Soul t-shirt or leather jacket. I'd probably be wearing it just as much as I listen to the song, every day!

R&BZIN IT

Since there's been a complete and utter lack of R&B in mainstream today (outside of Keyshia Cole), we want to dedicate a couple posts a month to 90s R&B. This Guy track was technically released in the late 1980s, but this type of bump & grind swang definitely set the tone for what was to come. Call it ghetto if you want, but this sh*z is a masterpeice! Aaron Hall's voice is like a big, melting heap of buttery nostalgia. The producer of this group, Teddy Riley, is also known for his recent work on Lady Gaga's track "Teeth," which can be found on the Fame Monster album. I'm not going to bother posting the MP3 of said track 'cuz I'm sure it's either been deluxe editioned, pirated or making you sick to your stomach by now.
